Pastoral Page ( Sunday 21st November 2010)

Dear Friends

Today is a very special day when we welcome a number of new folk into the life of our little church. I know that they, today of all days, covet your prayers. Perhaps as you pray for them, as they make their vows, with you and God as their witnesses, you might like to also take this time as an opportunity to renew your own vows, and to say the prayer of commitment together with our new family members:
I believe in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. I promise to join in worship regularly, and to share the Holy Communion. With God’s grace, I will pray and read from his word regularly. I promise to give freely of my time, talents and resources to the work of the church in the world. I promise, with God’s help, to spread the good news, to serve, obey and be true to Him, and with His grace, to share in His ministry of reconciliation and thereby reveal His healing love.
